ABOUT PLC

Pennsauken Logistics Center is a historic economic hub revitalized for today’s industrial tenants. Built by Aluminum Shapes, the site once held the title of largest aluminum manufacturing operation east of the Mississippi. At its peak, the complex employed over 3,000 employees – extruding aluminum for end uses such as Great Dane Trailers, U-Haul trucks and Esther Williams pools.

Mismanagement led to the decline of Aluminum Shapes after the turn of the century, which drove asset dispositions to Velocity Venture Partners in 2019 (8600 River), and 2021 (9000 River).

Velocity revitalized the park in stages, and while the newest tenant mix is solely made up of distributors, the infrastructure used by Aluminum Shapes – such as massive power capacity and heavy-duty cranes – remains available for almost all manufacturing use profiles.

Between all three buildings, the complex hosts more than 60 loading docks and drive-ins, providing dedicated loading configurations for each unit. All units feature heavy power and high-capacity gas and water lines to accommodate manufacturing operations.
